researchers at the University of Geneva and the Free University of Berlin for the first time creates a high energy pulse of light in a cloud of water droplets.
The laser produced charged particles, which was reflected in water, they report in the journal Nature Photonics .
The method could be used in future in order to bring clouds to raining, hail damage prevention in agriculture and industry.
clouds are so far in Germany usually sprayed with the silver iodide salt to make it hail. A controversial method is that it is expensive, may harm the environment.
